Tesco is powered by ScreenSelect, and so you can expect similar service from them. They have the same range (literally the same disks!) the same software powering their website, though I have found ScreenSelect a bit quicker in terms of processing sent/received disks and sending me titles at the top of my wish list.

I joined Tesco DVD rental after enjoying a month free with Blockbuster.
Blockbuster was quick, discs worked fine, responded to comments.
With Tescos:
* I signed up for the lowest package(7.97). They charged me at the top package (13.97) but gave me the lowest package service.
* 3 out of 5 discs have been damaged
* They have been reaaallly slooow
* They do not respond to emails and have no phone number to contact
I can't even cancel my contract yet, because cancellations are immediate I will have paid £14 to see one film.
